The Undergraduate Fellows Program
The Undergraduate Fellows Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to work and train with faculty, staff and other students in the JLC-BBRI. The objectives of the program are to create an environment at NCCU that will stimulate student interest in choosing a science discipline for their major, nurture those students that have already committed to pursuing science as a career path, and provide a framework for support that will facilitate cooperative learning among students at all levels.
Fellows
Participants in the Undergraduate Fellows Program will receive Monthly stipends or Work Aid support based on their classification.| Classification: | Hourly Wage: |

Work Schedule
Each Undergraduate Fellow is expected to spend at least 10 hrs/week in the research mentor's laboratory during the Fall and Spring semesters. During the summer, the student will have the opportunity to work at least 20 hrs/week in the laboratory.
Professional Scientific Meetings
Undergraduate Fellows Program participants will be eligible to attend scientific meetings to report their research findings.
Maintaining the Undergraduate Fellowship
In order to continue in the Undergraduate Fellows Program, students must remain in good academic standing with a 3.0 GPA. Continuation of undergraduate fellows will be contingent upon academic performance, laboratory research performance, and conduct becoming a professional.
