• The fourth Annual Alumni Recognition and Scholarship Banquet is scheduled for Friday evening, March 28th. The banquet at the Hilton Raleigh -Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park.
  
• The following awards will be given to these seven individuals for their tireless and oustanding efforts in their respective professions and contributions to the field of criminal justice:

• Mrs. Sherry Hunter Drafts (Raleigh Police Department)
• Alumnus Award for Excellence in Governmental Affairs
• Ms. Marcia Samuels (US Department of Justice, COPS Office)
• Alumnus Award for Excellence in Corrections
  • Major Rita Collins (Durham County Sheriff's Office)
• Alumnus Award for Excellence in Academic Achievement
  • Mr. Michael Drew (Nash Community College)
• Outstanding Alumnus Award
  • Mr. James C. Pridgen (Cummins Inc.)

• The second edition of our newsletter, "Soaring Eagles" was published and mailed to over 1500 alumni.
