The Department of Nursing offers an upper division Bachelor of Science Degree Program. Graduates are eligible to write the National Coucil Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for licensure as a registered nurse. The Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing and the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

The Program curriculum is divided into a lower and upper division, each of which is two years. The lower division courses provide knowledge in the natural sciences, social science and humanities; the upper division is the nursing major. The baccalaureate program establishes the basic for graduate study in nursing.
