We are excited that you have chosen NCCU! Our goal in career services is and always has been to ensure that our graduates become employment prospects for today’s companies and organizations. Whether you are a student looking for an internship, part-time or full-time job, an employer looking to partner with NCCU, a faculty member searching for career development support for your students, an alumni considering how to impact our current student’s professional development or a parent with questions about how our office can assist your student, we are here to help. Feel free to browse our newly developed website which includes a lot of information to help you find the answers you seek. We also welcome your telephone calls and emails in addition to your visits. We are sincere in our desire to assist you.

UCS Updates

NACE Employment Outlook for 2009 Graduates

The outlook for college hiring appears to be stable for the May and December graduates of the Class of 2009. Despite a sluggish economy, employers responding to NACE’s 2009 Job Outlook Fall Preview Survey report plan to hire 6.1 percent more new graduates in 2008-09 than they did in 2007-08. NACE’s Summer 2009 Salary Survey report shows that the average starting salary offer for new college graduates now stands at $49,307. That’s off less than 1 percent from the average $49,693 that 2008 graduates posted last year at this time.

Campus Recruiting

Employers may schedule campus recruitment visits in the fall (Sept-Nov) and spring (Feb-Apr) semesters. We offer two convenient methods of posting job opportunities for on campus interviews. Employers may call our office or login to Eagletrak to post jobs and schedule on campus interviews and recruitment visits.
