Crystal L. Todd-Yelverton-Academic Support Specialist

Before obtaining a position at NC Central University School of Law, Crystal Todd-Yelverton earned a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from NC Central University. She immediately pursued her law degree at NC Central University School of Law following graduation.
After graduating from law school in 1999, she was a middle school teacher in Vance County for at-risk youth, where she created several after-school programs. Later, she was a Special Projects Attorney at Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice. She stayed with the firm for 3 years. She continues to serve her community as a Guardian ad Litem. She is also a former at-large member of the Community Child Protection Team and Juvenile Crime Prevention Council for Durham County. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and is a member of the 14th Judicial District Bar.
She currently serves as Academic Support Specialist in the Academic Support Department. She has also taught NC Distinctions. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Jordyn Pennie.
