Delores A. James - Director of Development

Delores A. James was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She attended The Ohio State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism. Prior to joining the administrative staff of the School of Law, Ms. James served as Assistant General Manager/Director of Development for UNC-TV, North Carolina’s statewide public television network. In her capacity of Assistant General Manager, she successfully oversaw all fundraising activities, human resources, communication, and marketing efforts. Ms. James has also worked at public television stations in Ohio, Illinois, Georgia, and Florida where she has won numerous fundraising awards. As Director of Development for the School of Law, Ms. James oversees all fundraising efforts, alumni relations, special events, and marketing and communication efforts.

Ms. James works directly with the Dean on major gift fundraising projects. Ms. James is married to Emmy Award- winning filmmaker Dante James, and they make their home in Durham, North Carolina.
