Ronald Steven Douglas - Assistant Dean
for Student Services
B.A., Howard University; J.D, North Carolina Central University.
Dean Ronald S. "Steve" Douglas was born March 30,
1950 in New Rochelle, New York. He received his undergraduate degree
in Economics in 1978. Prior to Law School, he bartended at the J.W.
Marriott and was a Public Health Advisor for the District of Columbia.
While attending NCCU School of Law, Dean Douglas was
hired as a Law Clerk for the District of Columbia's Office of Employee
Appeals during the summer after his first year. Dean Douglas received
his J.D. in 1982.
After receiving his J.D., he held the position of Legal
Advisor to the OSHA Review Board for the State of North Carolina
and was in private practice for many years in the Washington, D.C.
area concentrating in criminal defense.
Dean Douglas currently serves as the Assistant Dean
to the Day Program and is responsible for admissions, scholarships,
grants, financial aid, and disciplinary matters.
He is a member of the American Bar Association Standing
Committee on Substance Abuse and also serve on the Board for the
North Carolina Land Loss Prevention Project. His interests and hobbies
revolve around his son who is a basketball fanatic.
