Walter H. Nunnallee - Professor
B.S., Florida State University; J.D., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; LL.M. University of Florida.
Professor Nunnallee was raised in Avon Park, Florida with six of his siblings. He graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University in 1975 (majoring in accounting). He worked three years as a CPA with KPMG. In 1981, Nunnallee graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law, and received his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida College of Law in 1985, where he finished first in his class. He has published tax articles in the Tax Lawyer, The Oregon Law Review, Review of Taxation of Individuals, Tax Notes, and the NCCU Law Journal. He frequently lectures at national tax institutes and conferences including the UNC Nelson Young Tax Institute, The Southern Federal Tax Institute, The Annual Virginia Tax Conference, and the Northwest Tax Conference.
Professor Nunnallee is an active member of the ABA Tax Section, and is former chairman of the Tax Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
He teaches tax courses at North Carolina Central University School of Law, and has taught tax classes as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina School of Law and Duke University School of Law.
His hobbies include running, golf, and being with his family.
